If you have a bank account with an international cash card (compatible with the “PLUS”, and “CIRRUS” systems), you will have direct access to your account through most of the ATMs in the city, making a local bank account unnecessary. However, if you wish to open an Italian bank account, you will need to submit the following: 1. A valid identification document (passport or identity card) 2. Italian tax identification number (“codice fiscale”) 3. Proof of accommodation 4. School’s certificate of enrollment.
