I am surprised that one week has already passed since I started working on this report. Since this is my first time abroad, everything I see and hear is fresh and new to me, and it all happened so fast.
From the time I arrived, I saw pickpockets, got lost due to language barriers, and had many other happenings, but every day I felt “I’m glad I came. I even hear it in my voice, and people around me ask, “Are you going home today? I am often asked “Are you leaving today?

このレポートを取り組むことになり、もう1週間が過ぎたのかと驚きました。初海外ということもあり、見るもの聞くもの全てが新鮮であっという間です。
到着時からスリ現場を見たり、言葉が通じずに迷ったり、ハプニングも多々ありましたが、毎日「来てよかったなぁ」って感じています。声にも出ちゃって周りから「今日帰るの？？」とツッコまれます。

In the art history course, students first learn the history of art in the school building, and in the remaining time, they visit churches and museums around Florence to have a teacher explain about the history of art on the spot.
It was raining unfortunately that day, but we went to the Church of Santa Maria Novella. I was thrilled to see Giotto’s Crucifixion of Christ.It was refreshing to see that something that is appreciated in museums in Japan actually exists as an object of faith, and I felt that I was experiencing a different culture.In addition, I was able to learn a lot by asking questions immediately about what I don’t understand as the guide explained while actually viewing the works of art.

美術史コースでは、まず校舎で美術の歴史を学び、残った時間でフィレンツェ周辺の教会や美術館へと足を運んでその場で先生から解説してもらいます。
この日は生憎の雨でしたが、サンタ・マリア・ノヴェッラ教会に行きました。ジォットのキリスト磔刑図を見ることが出来て感激です。日本では美術館や博物館で鑑賞されるようなものが、実際に信仰の対象として存在している様子が新鮮で、異なる文化に触れている実感を持ちました。また、実際に作品を鑑賞しながら解説してくれるので分からないことをすぐに質問することができ、勉強になります。

At night, I cook a lot of my own food. On the first day, I went to the supermarket and tried to make panino, but there were so many ingredients that I couldn’t use them all, so I had to live on panini every day.Here is a view of the coop near the flat and the panino.

夜は自炊が多めです。初日にスーパーに行ってパニーノを作って見たら、食材の量が多く、使いきれずに連日パニーニ生活でした。フラット近くのコープの様子と、パニーノの様子です。

If I have time after school, I sometimes go out with my friends who live in the same flat.
It is said to be a city of gastronomy, so whatever we eat is delicious! However, it is overall heavy, so my stomach gets a workout.

学校帰りに時間があれば、同じフラットの友達と一緒に出掛けることもあります。
美食の街と言われるだけあって、何を食べても美味しい!ただ全体的に重めなので、胃は鍛えられます。
