Fashion Design Semester Course (n.7)

Monday
Today I started my planning for the week at the San Lorenzo market. After this I went to school for my independent study. I did research on the key words that I want to use for my collection. I am so excited to start my first collection.

Tuesday
Today I finalized the mood for my collection. I collected images out of magazines and fashion books that inspire me and the theme of the collection. I also used a website that has all the images of the latest fashion shows worldwide. Together with my teacher we selected our favourite images that I will use for my mood board.

After school I found out that me and my best friend are both accepted into the same art collage in South Africa. I was such great news and I cannot wait !

Wednesday
Today I worked on photoshop for the first time!
I loved it. I created a sheet for my mood board and a sheet for my inspirations board.
My teacher helped me a lot as the computer is in Italian. I loved learning the new skill and I am so excited to continue using it.

In the afternoon we had our last colour theory class. We learned about the importance of colour in fashion and in the modern era. We had a lovely teacher who put a lot of work into the class for us.

Thursday
Today I bought the right markers to start drawing my collection. In class I started with rough sketches to get an idea of the items that I would like to create. As it is my first collection my teacher has to remind me that I am designing for a certain client group and that I can’t just draw whatever I like ;). I am having so much fun with my new collection and I cannot wait to develop the ideas and sketches in this fall break !

Friday
We went to the Bargello today.
WOW I loved it. It was so beautiful. I will definitely be returning. It was absolutely magnificent.
