Furniture Restoration Short Course (#5) – Hikaru.I
I’m a little nervous because we are actually restoring commissioned furniture… But I was so nervous that even the teacher told me to try to enjoy the work more! so I will relax my shoulders and enjoy the work more!
This time I restored a bedside table and a chair! I stripped off the paint, repainted them, and filled in the missing parts. I heard that both of them were restored a long time ago, but the teacher was having a hard time with it because he used a not-so-good method. I would like to learn the correct procedure for restoration. I will do my best for the next three weeks!
今週から家具の修復の作業が始まりました！
実際に依頼された家具を修復するので、ちょっと緊張してしまいます…ただ、緊張しすぎて先生にも｢もっと楽しんでみて！｣と言われてしまったので、肩の力を抜いてもっと作業を楽しんでいきたいと思います！
今回修復したのはベッドサイドテーブルと椅子です！塗装を剥がして色を塗り直したり、欠けている部分を埋めたりしました。どちらもだいぶ昔に修復されたそうなのですが、あまり良くない方法を使ったらしく先生もとても手こずっていました。正しい修復の手順を覚えたいなと思いました。あと3週間頑張っていきたいです！

At Accademia Riaci, we are recruiting Course Reporters from our students. The students who are chosen to become Course Reporters are given 10 % of the tuition as their scholarship fee.
The Reporters who have submitted excellent reports will have his or her profile posted on our school website for the next 5 years as an alumnae and will be able to connect with their business chancesafter their graduation.
