Shoe Making 7-One Year Course 2016

After a wonderful holiday spent in Marbella, Spain, for a week for our autumn break, we flew to Rome on the way back from Spain and experienced the magnificent Rome for three days from Monday to Wednesday.
We had an unexpected surprise when we realized that the Vatican City will be closed on the Tuesday, as it was a national holiday, and decided to extend our stay with one more day to be able to visit the Vatican City.

On Thursday I was back in class well rested out and ready to work on my own pair of Oxford shoes. I completed the pattern and will start with the mock up for the upper next week.

I was over the moon when I finally got to see my boyfriend again after two months. We visited some good friends in Marbella, Spain, and travelled to a beautiful small town called Ronda, about 1,5hour drive outside Marbella.

Rome was absolutely fantastic. We hired bicycles and explored almost every single sight that we could in the time that we spent there. The weather was perfect and sunny and we stayed at a backpackers right in the center of town.

The ruins in Rome from the incredible view from the top of the Palentine hill. It is such an unbelievable feeling to walk through the ruins and to think how people walked and lived here from so many years back.

The Coloseum is a must see of course. The line to enter will always be crazy long, but it is definitely worth going inside and learning about the history and sad happenings that took place in the Coloseum.

Back in Florence I finally went to visit the Uffizi gallery. It was really great to finally see all the spectacular pieces of art that I have heard so much about.

I also finally got to visit the Pitti palace where my favorite part was of course the costume museum where I spent almost a whole hour!
