Architecture Report #13 – Daniella Ruiz
Week 1 Summary – Our first week back in class!
Pic1.Sunday, September 3 | After traveling for the month of August, it felt good to finally be back in Florence! Earlier in the day, we went grocery shopping and got ready for the week. My roommate made rice and beans with kabobs for dinner.
Pic2.Monday, September 4 | For our first day back to class, our professor had us present the drawings we worked on over the summer for our next project. This was the drawing he liked the best!
Pic3.Tuesday, September 5 | Our new class for this month was drawing! I haven’t drawn since my sophomore year of college! It felt good to draw again!
Pic4.Wednesday, September 6 | For homework, I had to improve my initial drawing, and this is what I presented to my professor! He really liked the direction I was going in. He asked that for next class, I add more to the drawing!
Pic5.Wednesday, September 6 | This is what we had for dinner: a steak and cheese sandwich!
Pic6.Thursday, September 7 | I printed out the drawing that I had worked on for homework! The professor liked my design, and we picked a theme for the project! In class, we went over different design elements that we could create for the theme. For the rest of class, I sketched out layout options!

Pic8.Friday, September 8 | We had our first art visit for this term! We explored the Santa Croce area!
Pic9.Friday, September 8 | We finished the art visit at sunset at the Ponte Vecchio!
Pic10.Saturday, September 9 | For dinner, we tried a new burger restaurant: Cloud 59! It was very good!
