Week 4 Summary – This week we had our architecture and logo design classes, our third art visit, our first art stage, and we went to the Pitti Palace over the weekend!

Sunday, May 21 | Today I cleaned the house, did some laundry, went to church online, and had nachos for dinner! It was a great reset for the upcoming week!

Monday, May 22 | Today in my architectural class, I added a pool on the side of my villa for relaxation! With that, I began to design the boundary wall.

Monday, May 22 | For dinner tonight, we had a classic Spanish dish: arroz blanco con habichuelas, pollo y tostones! It made me feel like I was back at home!

Tuesday, May 23 | In today’s logo design class, I drafted my design using illustrator! I also learned some cool tools within the program to make my workflow more efficient!

Tuesday, May 23 | After class today, I took some time to read! The book I started reading was called the 4-Hour Workweek! It felt great to start reading again!

Tuesday, May 23 | After I read and ate lunch, we walked to Fortezza da Basso! We walked around to enjoy the weather and visit a new place!

Wednesday, May 24 | During our architectural design lesson, I showed my professor the first design idea I had for my boundary wall around the villa!

Thursday, May 25 | For the art visit this week, we went to the Orsanmichele! Our tour guide told us the history of each statue on the exterior of the building! After the art visit, I had steak and potatoes at a nearby restaurant with Edwin! We finished the night with gelato!

Saturday, May 27 | We had our first art stage today at Piazza della Signoria! We had to pick a subject and draw! This took me out of my comfort zone and made me realize that I need to draw more!

Saturday, May 27 | After our art stage, we went to Pitti Palace! The ceiling designs in each room were amazing! While we were there, we bumped into some friends from back home and spent the rest of the day with them! We gave them a tour around the area and ate dinner at a new spot!
