This week I took a break from school for my trip to Copenhagen, it was my second European country I had been to and I had lots of nice experiences there.

My first day arriving to Copenhagen, I visited a famous hand crafted glass and ceramic shop named Studio Arhoj. I could find there many daily supplies but were turned to be more interesting and beautiful. I couldn’t miss the chance but bought 2 cups as presents for my parents.

In Danish, the Royal family plays an important role and I took my visit to the Royal palaces. With the permission of the Royal guard, he was so kind and lovely that he even smiled while I was taking his picture!

When in Copenhagen I couldn’t miss the Denmark Design Museum. The museum was nicely organized and the staffs were totally friendly. Half of the museum was for contemporary exhibitions. The rest was for all the historical and iconic products. I could see all the famous Danish designers and their creations were shown there.

An attractive space matched the design vibe of the famous Danish designer – Verner Panton. His designs are well known for colorful and playful shape that represented how interesting his imagination is.

Denmark is also famous for the pastries. A cappuccino and a cinnamon bun were an ideal option during any daytime in Copenhagen. They were so good going together also for the cold weather in the city.

The city was holding a design event. Many designers and brands were shown up to advertise and make their connections. I had my time wandering around and seeing many great products as well as the design trend in Europe currently.

The sunset in Copenhagen was pretty late at night, around 10 p.m thus after that, I still had many time exploring the city. The views were so beautiful, not only the building but everything was well designed, very neat and tidy.

During my last day there, I visited the SMK – Statens Museum for Kunst. I walked through the big park to get to the museum and was once fascinated by how pretty the scenery there. I felt so relax seeing all greens and nature.

There was a lovely coffee shop within the museum and they were popular for their pancake so I couldn’t help but passed by and ordered one. The pancake was nice and I also had the flower soda my first time.

The museum displayed plenty artworks of Danish artists from the 90’s till today. Not only painting but also visual and other kinds of artworks. Each of them all have the stories and worth to be contemplated.

Both the Design and the Art Museums all have the shopping store within where we could visit and get some gifts home. All the goods were very attractive and pretty much related to the museum.

My trip had come to an end. It was a very interesting trip and I had lots of happy memories there. At the airport there were many kinds of chocolates and biscuits that were like well known Danish desserts and I also brought some chocolates as gifts back to Florence. I would visit Copenhagen again if I had the chance!
