Jewelry Design Master Course (n.3)

This week, the teacher taught how to use the shape of the example image as a design idea. And choose the shape you like and try to design a series of works.

Art Visit
Looking at the works of Jeff Koons reminds me of the theory proposed by the master architect Mies van der Rohe.
This is very similar to the Zen of Eastern thought, as the Eastern Laozi talks about non-action and nature, which is not forced, deliberate, or “performed.”
Everyone needs to understand the meaning of existence through self-thought.
As Jeff Koons’ artwork uses a sparkling aesthetic, it also takes into account Schein’s philosophy. Through reflection, Koons shows how art can engage the senses for a visceral experience. Shiny stainless steel and vibrant colors create a mirror effect that elevates mood, creates euphoria, and produces a higher reality experience. His glowing surfaces provide visual feedback, confirming the viewer’s presence in the space and reminding them that they are part of a larger community and conversation.
The exhibit will host loans from some of the world’s most important collections and museums, exploring the concept of “shine” in Jeff Koons’s work – an ambiguous idea that oscillates between the dualities of being and seeming, or truth and sensation. Jeff Koons has found a key principle in the idea of “shine” for his innovative sculptures and installations, which set out to question our relationship with reality but also the very concept of a work of art. The American artist’s works place the observer before a mirror in which they can at once see themselves within their environment and thus experience affirmation.

Celebration
All the pieces in Celebration reference childhood, family and vacation memories, such as balloon dogs. At the same time, they are presented in grand room-sized forms made of high-alloy chrome steel, drawing attention to the contrast between their weightless appearance and the heavy, stable reality.

The texture of the flower base reflected by the mirror on the wall brings the flowers to life.
Bluebird Planter
This piece wants to convey love, fertility and beauty in art. The reflection is represented by the metallic material of birds, in which the flowers need solar energy to work together. The growth of sunlight requires living surfaces to bloom, a celebration of organic living plants and anti-natural beauty, while the lightweight stainless steel surfaces focus on how abstract beauty can be defined.
