Painting-Drawing 13-Master Course 2017 (Student1)
As the professor Alessandro’s guide we follow sketching lessons in this week. Drawing is mainly about seeing and understanding what you see. People often assume that everybody sees the same. But actually seeing is a skill which you can improve with regular exercise. My entire classmate used different medium with the different technics for their sketching exercise.
Brian practice his sketching with the medium of ink. As Alessandro guides him to follow ink technics, when Brian practicing Diagonal lines in ink medium as same as Artists (Leonardo ) did.
Had a quick visit to Padova and decide to see a one of the largest catholic church in the world called Basilica di Sant’Antonio. The chapel of saint Anthony is a splendid Renaissance work begun in 1500 and completed towards the end of that century the architect was probably Tullio Lombardo. The chapel was embellished with the work of some of the greatest Venetian sculptors of the time. The walls are lined by nine marble relief showing scenes and miracles from the life of saint Anthony.
In Thursday lesson we went for a discussion with professor Rinaldi regarding our final summation of art exhibition and how to make a personal portfolio.
Finding theme and work on it that was the main topic we talk about. To create meaningful art we need to find a them or topic. Theme can be broad and cover a wide range of subject matter. But it needs to be personally linked to artist. So I was thinking about what I really interested and fascinate about.
On the same day lesson Victor and Hiromi they were starting their drawing for tempera technic.
On Thursday afternoon me and my friend went for a lunch together. It was yummy risotto.
