Painting-Drawing 16-Master Course 2017 (Student1)
As I do background of my portrait, this is the stage I’m more interested to establish figure with the main arear of light and darks. I use oil colors in thin layers more similar to watercolor technics in this time with the help of solvent. The solvent doesn’t only thin the paint but also act as drier, speeding up the cure rate of the oil paint.
In my Wednesday I create a fully developed tonal study of my portrait figure.
This week. Hiromi did her painting according to the egg tempera technics and that was the time she used ‘’Terra Verde’’ color to identify the main features of the face with shades of dark and light tones.
Painting a portrait with watercolor can be tricky. You have to paint a believable skin tone color and avoid too many hard edges on the face so it looks soft. This week Victor practiced his own portrait with watercolor medium.
In Thursday we start our second session of wall painting lesson. Before starting the color process we create the wall in to a smooth and clean surface. We use readymade tempera color to the base of this mural. ‘’ Terra D’ Ombra ‘’ is the main color we use with titanium white to make the main 3 color shades (dark tone, mid tone, tight tone) according to the perspective guide lines.
The challenge and joy of singing in a group may be just the lift you need at the end of a long week of work. Singing is a wonderful release and opportunity to express your thoughts and feeling through music and singing. Joining a choir may give that regular opportunity to enjoy singing. It’s my pleasure to be part of choir St. James Anglican church in Florence. Nice environment. Sort of home away from home for expats.
