Painting-Drawing 4-Master Course 2017 (Student1)
This week Monday we started experimental study in oil technique. Here’s the pencil drawing of my still life composition. How the way I captured my main forms some details, bit of shadows. I always check myself in the painting at this point to make sure it is level from left to right.
The second part of the still life I started with background. And then I used lighter brown and gray color tones with each object establishing light, dark tones as well as shadows. I painted this layer with less detail and made the entire painting more lighter shadings.
Wednesday lecture made me restart a work on my painting. At this stage I added colors to each object and focused to capture details of it.
Close up of the blended color coat of my painting. Oil paint is ideal medium for achieving strong and interesting brush stock.
This week we finished the classes for autumn brake. And today is the last day we did our painting with Professor Alessandro. This is the time to finish my oil painting.
Three paintings from three different artists might have the same subject, composition but different style of brush can convey completely different moods of emotions.
In Thursday class Professor Andy taught us modern masters still life lesson with the famous artist how they used color tones: brushstrokes, composition and many more features for their paintings. Then she asked us who of the famous still life masters inspire for our new still life painting. So I choose Van Gogh as my inspiration artist. This is my composition.
The Van Gogh style is more difficult than it seems. This is how I started to color my painting imitating Van Gogh style.
To Greet someone For Diwali it’s the best to say ‘’Shush Deepavali’’ My roommate is an Indian girl and Thursday afternoon my friend and I went to Royal India Restaurant, to celebrate Diwali Festival with yummy Indian foods. It was a wonderful place for tasty Indian Cuisine in Florence.
