Living in Florence (Shoe Making) 15.3.4 : Assistant Report 17
This past Friday, I had the privilege of going to Lineapelle in Milan. It is a great experience for students and professionals to see everything that is happening in the world of leather, tools, and other shoe components. There are over one thousand vendors from all over the world at the expo. I only went for one day, so I went directly from the train station to the expo and back again but here are some photos from the trip. Unfortunately, people are not allowed to take photos from inside the event. The photo above is from the Milan train station. It is the largest and most grand station that I have seen in Italy.
The exposition center, the architecture is very modern and completely different than most places in Italy. In Milan, it is a lot more common to see modern buildings and even a few skyscrapers. Right now there is a ton of construction in Milan.
Here is the view out of the window of the high-speed train. The rail system in Italy makes traveling between cities easy and efficient.
Walking around Sunday morning, I noticed this adorable dog. Believe it or not, this dog was hanging out in this position and didn’t move a muscle as I walked closer. I guess she needed a good morning stretch.
