Participated in a total of 3 months of courses: 2 months of chef training + 3 weeks of home cooking + 1 week of gelato. He spent 3 months in Florence, Italy, where he spent a total of 3 months studying and learning how to cook.

Chef Training Course (#1) – Ayaka S

Cooking Lessons
Cooking lessons begin with Tuscan cuisine, of which Florence is the capital.
Students try various recipes of Tuscan and Northern Italian cuisine!

There were many unfamiliar tasks such as using ingredients that are rare in Japan, crushing basil from a stone mortar to make Genovese sauce, and cooking vegetables for a long time to make stewed broadsides, but we were able to experience many different things!

料理レッスン
料理レッスンは、フィレンツェが州都であるトスカーナ料理からレッスンが始まります。
トスカーナ料理、北イタリア料理とさまざまなレシピに挑戦!

日本では珍しい食材を使ったり、石臼からバジルを潰しジェノベーゼソースを作ったり、野菜を長時間かけて煮込みブロードを作ったりと慣れない作業も多かったですが、いろいろな経験ができました!

I also enjoyed studying abroad in Italy.
Florence is a world heritage city, so even just walking around the city was exciting!
We went to the Uffizi Gallery to see the famous “Birth of Venus” and visited a church.

ウフィツィ美術館に行って有名な「ヴィーナスの誕生」を見学したり、教会を訪れたりしました。

Wholesale market visit
We gathered at the market before dawn (6:15) to visit the market!
A lot of vegetables and fruits were being shipped in the market, which was quite spacious!
The market staff gave us a detailed explanation of the market.

夜が明ける前(6:15)に市場に集合して市場見学へ!
かなりの広さの市場でたくさんの野菜や果物が出荷されていました!
市場のスタッフから色々と丁寧に説明もしてもらいました。
