Fashion Design vol.2 – Art Short Course 2018 (a.a)

First day of my second week course was still developing the pattern that I created for my apparel collection. I designed the pattern manually and sketched different kind of pattern inspired by object that I found in Villa Bardini. Veronica also showed my classmate and me a video of Italian famous designers fashion runway and also the trends for this year for our reference.

Second day, I had an independent study class and I chose to work from my apartment that is located in Via dei Servi, 9 minutes’ walk from Accademia Riaci. Besides that I also went out to explore the city to get some inspiration for more pattern and color from the Renaissance building and paintings by walking through the beautiful alleyways of Florence.

Third day, I created a different pattern again and decided the color that I wanted. I decided a color that represent the Renaissance buildings and rooftop combine with Tuscany’s botanical and nature. I also started to sketch dresses for my apparel collection and Veronica suggested me to use some details that could be applied on my apparel collection. She suggested me many kind of details that is on trend and I also tried to search for something that represents Italian fashion from magazines.

The fourth day of my final course with the teacher has come to an end. Due to the short time of my course, I manage to create 3 apparel designs. Veronica and my classmate kindly gave me some feedbacks and idea for my apparel collection. It was also time to say goodbye with Veronica and my classmate and hopefully we could meet again in the near future.
