Hi guys! My name’s Tú and I’m from Viet Nam. As someone has passion in design and art, especially in furniture design. It was a great honor for me to become one of the Competition’s winners in 2023 and by that I had the chance to not only study but experience life in Italy.

Furniture Design One-Year Course (#10) – K T Truong

Furniture Design blog My teacher gave me a requirement for this week, designing the holder for my bottles. That was a great task as I also needed it to go together with my designed bottles and as I was working on acrylic lately I found it was easier to come up with the ideas.
Furniture Design blog We move to one of the most important artist in the second period of Renaissance this week – Leonardo da Vinci. Through the class I was able to understand more about his painting and how talented he was. He always tried to discover unknown things and be a pioneer, even in painting the same topic as others he found a new way to express his artworks.
Furniture Design blog Naturally, it’s the best to enjoy and cook Italian foods here but sometimes to balance my taste I also make some Asian foods. As for last week I made simple rice dish with stir-fried beefs and fried eggs, also can not miss some vegetables so I paired my beefs with some freshly sliced tomatoes. That meal was full of home flavours.
Furniture Design blog I finished my designs for the bottle holder quite quickly this time as my teacher pretty satisfied with them, therefore I spent the weekend for finishing the technical drawings. I tried to complete each of my projects fully with both rendered images and technical sketches.
Furniture Design blog July is the sale month in Florence. The summer sale atmosphere is everywhere and it’s an ideal opportunity to pick up some nice stuffs with good prices. I also walked around the center and checked on some stores.
Furniture Design blog Gelato is something I eat at least once a week, well why not since I’m in Italy!? I tried this one at the gelato shop owned by the teacher from school, it’s handmade gelatos and I was impressed by the special Rose water flavour there, it was light but the fragrance was deep and unique that it made me unforgetable.
Furniture Design blog For some quick and light meal, I think it’s the best to enjoy just bread with cheese. Italy is famous for having the various and delicious cheeses, from fresh to aged. I’m also trying to try all kinds of cheeses here, as many as I can. The fresh cheeses as Stracchino, Ricotta etc are good matches with bread, simple but lovely. I will also add on fruits as apple if the cheese is salty or strong to balance flavour out.
