Furniture Design vol.6 – Master Course 2018 (s.s)
I’m finally finished the technical drawings of my coffee table. I had my teacher review my work, and he gave a few remarks. Right now, I’m just doing a few revisions and then I will submit my drawings right after.
Since I’m almost done with my coffee table, I have finally started working on my chair. I’m still finding ways on how to interpret my drawings into the 3D software. Right now, I’m still calculating the angles and the curves of the chair.
For this week’s Art Visit, we went to Santa Maria Maddalena dei Pazzi. This Renaissance style church once served as a convent. The paintings inside were different compared to the ones in the other churches we’ve visited. The teacher told us that the technique used on this is called Mannerism. Mannerism is influenced by Michelangelo and on the details of the people on the painting rather than the background or surroundings.
Since it’s autumn season, I decided to visit Boboli Gardens. It was a beautiful afternoon and the garden was not crowded. I got to relax and enjoy the view. I also got to see trees of which their leaves have changed their colors.
Living in Florence has taught me a lot. Back in my country, I never cook nor clean. There was someone back home who does the work for me. Here, I learned to clean and cook! After weeks of practicing, my cooking has finally improved! My go to dish as of the moment is pesto pasta.
