This week I finally finished the mirror stand that I have been restoring for some time!I was very happy because it was the first time I was able to completely restore it!I think the completion of the restoration gave me a little more confidence in myself.I think I was able to restore it beautifully while preserving the good qualities of the antique.I would like to make the most of the techniques I learned and the things I thought about through this restoration in my future work!
After restoring the mirror stand, we started restoring another piece.It was fun to put the dislodged parts back in their original positions, just like a puzzle!It was my first time to work with shells, so it was a great experience for me.
There is only one more week left for this kind of experience, so I would like to enjoy the rest of the classes!

今週は前から修復を続けていた鏡台がついに完成しました！初めて完全に修復ができたのでとても嬉しかったです！修復ができたことで少し自分の自信にも繋がったかなと思います。アンティークの良さも残しながら、綺麗に修復できたのではないかなと思いました。今回の修復で学んだ技術、修復を通して考えたことをこれからの作品作りに最大限活かしていきたいと思います！
鏡台が終わったあとは違う作品の修復にも取りかかりました。外れてしまったパーツを元の位置に戻すという作業なのですが、パズルみたいで楽しかったです！貝殻を使った作品にも初めて触れたので良い経験にもなりました。
こんな体験ができるのもあと1週間なので残りの授業も楽しんで行きたいと思います！
