GOODYEAR WELT AND ADHESIVE METHOD 5
Our Swedish student has been making his third pair of shoes using the adhesive method (left photo).
・Since this type of shoe has a very high-arched plantar, the making process is extremely difficult (central photo).
・This 2nd-year student has just completed a pair of shoes for his father (right photo).
After wetting the insole, the students thinly skim the surface with fragments of glass and make it anti-skid (left photo).
・Several nails are hammered into the insole and the shape of external part is adjusted (central photo).
・Students last the wet leather and create a type of upper that doesn’t have any stitches (right photo).
By putting extreme attention on polishing every little detail increases the quality of the finished product (left photo).
・Since there is a distance between the stitches changes in the toe part of the Moccasin, it’s difficult to sew properly (central photo).
・Students add some leather on the instep part and proceed adjusting the shape (right photo).
