I work as an interior coordinator in Nagasaki. I decided to go to Florence for 3 weeks to learn how interior decoration is done in Italy. Unlike my previous trips, I will be staying a little longer, so I am very excited.
５回目のイタリアへ行ってきます。.
私は長崎でインテリアコーディネーターの仕事をしています。本場のイタリアでは、どのような室内装飾を行なっているのかを学びたく、３週間フィレンツェへ行くことを決めました。これまでの旅行と違い、少し長く滞在するのでドキドキです。

Interior Design Summer Course (#3) – Yumi K
The Church of Santa Croce, a Gothic-style church that we visited during our art visit. It is said to be called the Pantheon of Florence, where famous Italian personalities are enshrined.アートビジットで訪れた、ゴシック様式のサンタ・クローチェ教会。イタリアの名だたる著名人達が祀られている、フィレンツェのパンテオンと呼ばれているそうです。
Using Photoshop software, we decided on the colors and materials for the built-in furniture. Wallpaper from a Japanese interior design company was applied to the back of the furniture. The overall design of the furniture was completed.フォトショップのソフトを使って、造作家具の色・材質を決めました。背面には日本のインテリアメーカーの壁紙を貼り付けました。造作家具の全体的なデザインが出来上がりました。
This is the ceiling of a special room on the top floor of the Uffizi Gallery. It is amazing that it has been kept for more than 400 years.ウフィッツイ美術館の最上階にある、中には入れない特別な部屋の天井です。なんと600枚近くの真珠貝が貼られているそうです。400年以上も保たれているのが凄いです。

The teacher taught me how to draw detailed drawings to realize the design of the finished piece of furniture. There are many ways to do this, but in Italy we pursue beauty first and foremost.出来た造作家具のデザインを現実にするための詳細図を先生に教えてもらいました。様々なやり方がありますが、イタリアでは一番に美しさを追求します。
Michelangelo’s first and last completed painting, “The Holy Family. Seeing a real painting really fills the heart.ミケランジェロの最初で最後の完成絵画「聖家族」。本物の絵を見ると、本当に心が満たされます。
Now that we had a good idea of how to plan the furniture, we studied the electrical wiring. The way of thinking was similar to Japan.造作家具の計画の目処がついたので、今度は電気配線の勉強をしました。考え方は日本と似ていました。
On Saturday, we went to Bologna by train for an excursion. It was close to Florence, but with different buildings and atmosphere.土曜日に遠足で、列車でボローニャへ行きました。フィレンツェから近いのに、また違った建物や雰囲気の街でした。
n class, my teacher brought some of the furniture used at Salvatore Ferragamo. It was amazing to see how they designed such details.授業で先生がサルバトーレ・フェラガモで使っていた什器を持ってきてくれました。こんな細部までデザインするなんて凄いです。
The statue of David by Michelangelo at the Accademia Gallery. I was amazed at how big it was. Considering that he created such a large object with such a great sense of balance, I feel that he is truly an amazing talent.アカデミア美術館のミケランジェロ作のダビデ像。とっても大きくてびっくりしました。こんな大きなものを、このような素晴らしいバランス感覚で制作したことを考えると、本当に素晴らしい才能だなと感じます。
From Piazzale Michelangelo, a panoramic view of the city of Florence. I was very moved to see with my own eyes the scenery that I had seen on TV and in magazines all my life.
ミケランジェロ広場で、フィレンツェの街を一望。ずっとテレビや雑誌で見ていた風景を自分の目で見ていると、とても感動しました。
