This week’s classes
In this week’s perspective class, I finished drawing a hand-drawn perspective in two-point perspective. The teacher praised me a lot and I was happy because I was able to do it well. I would have liked to draw a 3-point perspective, but I couldn’t do it in the remaining time. In the storefront class, we made the exterior of the store. I was able to learn about details such as the thickness of the glass, the structure of the show window, and the structure of the door.

今週の授業
今週のパースの授業では手書きパースの2点透視図法を書き終えました。先生がたくさんほめてくださり、自分的にも上手くかけたので嬉しかったです。3点透視図法も書きたかったのですが残りの時間的にできないので残念ですが空間の感覚を少し理解することができました。店舗の授業では外装をつくりました。ガラスの厚みやショーウィンドウの構造、ドアの構造など細かいところまで学ぶことができました。

This week’s culture activity
This week we went to a town called Pistoia. This town is surrounded by three ancient city walls and is only a 30-minute train ride from Florence. I ate Pippi, a kind of cookie that originated in this town, and I loved it.

今週のculture activity
今週はピストイアという町に行きました。この町は古代に作られた3つの城壁に囲まれている街でフィレンツェから電車で30分ほどで行ける街です。この時期のフィレンツェは観光客が多く疲れやすいので、人が少ないピストイアは息抜きにピッタリです。Pippiというこの町が起源のクッキーのようなものを食べたのですがとてもおいしく気に入りました。

Supermarket
After more than 2 months in Florence, I started to miss Japanese sweets, so I went to a supermarket to look for Japanese snacks and found that they were surprisingly available. I found a variety of Japanese snacks such as KOIKEYA potato chips, Ito En’s tea, Pocky, and KIKKOMAN soy sauce. Surprisingly, you may have no trouble finding Japanese snacks and foods even if you don’t bring anything from Japan.

スーパーマーケット
フィレンツェに来てから2か月以上がたち、日本のお菓子が恋しくなってきたのでスーパーでいろいろ日本のものを探したところ意外と売っていることに気が付きました。湖池屋のポテチや伊藤園のお茶、ポッキーやキッコーマンのしょうゆなどいろいろありました。意外と日本から持ってこなくてもお菓子や日本食には困らないかもしれません。
