Interior Design vol.10 – One Year 2018 (r.s)
In this Wednesday painting class, I have experienced monochromatic painting. Our professor gave me the image in monochromatic scheme, and I copied it. It was a little bit tough to emphasize the contrast and tone of white and black parts. Also, it was challenging to create the texture of hair.
Image #2-7: We have been in the Museo di Santa Maria Novella for this Friday Art Visit. Santa Maria Novella is one of famous churches in Firenze because the fresco paintings are from gothic and early Renaissance.
Image #8-9: It is the Fresco painting named “Holy Trinity” Which was created by Masaccio. Brunelleschi helped him to paint it in term of the architecture part on the background.
Image #10: There are all the tombs of munks on those sides of the corridor.
Image #11-12: This is the courtyard in the Santa Maria Novella. Here is interesting fact that there are so many trees in churches like in the images, because munks plant for people to reach in the heaven faster.
Image #13: This room was used for lunch and dinner that munks got together. Now this room is used for music events like singing gospels.
