Jewelry Course : First week in Florence
Even though I have been here before, when I arrived to Florence I felt like it was the first time.
I spend my first night in Florence alone, because the other girls didn’t arrive yet.
I was scared at first, and I had a lot of things in my mind. The next day I went to the downtown and I saw the amazing city that I chose to live in. I love the architecture, church, the buildings, everything is breathtaking in this town.
My dorm was amazing, I had a very nice view of the city throw the balcony. I use to be like 30 minutes away from the city center.
I use to share the residence with four Japanese girls. It was a we thing for me because I had never lived with someone before. I learned a lot about them, the culture, the food, some words in Japanese also. They were so kind and friendly with me.
I shared my room with a Japanese girl, she was so lovely and kind but we couldn’t talk very much because she didn’t speak English or Italian, and that was a little bit of a problem.
My first day at school
I went to the school on first day of class, I was so excited to meet new people.
When I was in my class, the teacher introduced herself and explained some of our works for the semester.
In my class we are three girls, one of Brazil, one of Bolivia and me from Ecuador.
The teacher asked us to design something, so I made an earring and a ring.
The first lesson that we took was “vistas” .
And we learned to see a ring in many positions. This part is very important when designing because it is the first step to understand the construction of the ring.
