Jewelry Design vol.18 – One Year 2018 (a.l.y)
We can use one perspective view of a ring as shown in the picture, to determine how it will look like in another angle of perspective view.
Go into practice, by using the two guidelines to determine angles of a perspective view, and we can get results that we want.
Instead of using ruler and template, it is better to sketch free hand to practice.
After all, practice makes perfect. This example is slightly challenging in interpreting the position of the stone of the ring.

Finally, we start on drawings of jewellery in real life — a simple ring with a large cabochon.
First, we have to understand the position affects views of the cabochon. Imagine three papers are sticking inside the cabochon which represent the three edges. Then connect the three edges to compete for shape.
