On the first day of class, we first drew while being taught by the teacher. The language may be difficult, but you don’t have to worry because there will be an interpreter. He was a very easy-to-understand, bright, and kind teacher. While I was free to take breaks, the interpreter took me to an art supply store that I had wanted to visit. Also, I was able to spend a very fulfilling time from the first day because I was told about shops that sell things I need for daily life and they were very kind.
授業初日、まずは先生に教えてもらいながらデッサンをしました。言葉は難しいですが、通訳の方がいらっしゃるので安心です。とてもわかりやすく、明るくて優しい先生でした。自由に休憩をはさみながら、通訳の方に行ってみたかった画材屋さんに連れて行ってもらいました。また、生活に必要なものが売っているお店を教えてもらったり、とても親切にしていただいて初日からものすごく充実した時間を過ごすことができました。

学校から少し歩いたところにある図書館からの景色も素敵です。

It’s fun just walking around after school. I also look forward to going out to lunch with my new friends using the vouchers I received from school.
学校が終わった後に、歩くだけでも楽しいです。新しくできた友達と、学校から頂いたバウチャーを使ってランチに行くのも楽しみの一つです。

Second and third day of classes. I learned how to trace the picture I wanted to draw, make holes with a needle, and transfer it onto other objects. Just like silkscreening, once you make tracing paper with holes made with a needle, you can draw on anything. However, it was quite difficult to make holes with a needle. Once you have transferred it to another piece of paper, you can start coloring it. I find coloring especially difficult, so I’m looking forward to next week’s class!
授業二日目と三日目。描きたい絵をトレースし、針で穴をあけて他の対象物に描き写す方法を学びました。シルクスクリーンのように、一度針で穴をあけたトレーシングペーパーを作ってしまえば何にでも描きうつすことができます。ですが細かく針で穴をあけるのは結構大変でした。他の紙等に描きうつしたら色を塗っていきます。私は、色を塗ることは特に難しいと感じているので、また来週の授業が楽しみです！

4th day of class. I copied it using Sanguinho and pastels. It was difficult because it was my first time using both art supplies. The teacher teaches me while praising me, which is very motivating (^^). I was able to discover many issues, such as the importance of looking objectively and points that I would not have noticed on my own. After classes on the fourth day, we went on an art visit around Santa Croce and learned about the history of the buildings. I thought that places that I would normally pass by were the buildings where Michelangelo lived and places that were used in movies, so they were really fascinating places.
授業4日目。サングイーニョとパステルを使って模写をしました。どちらも初めて使う画材だったので難しかったです。先生は褒めながら教えてくれるのですごく励みになります(^^)。客観的に見ることの大切さや、自分だけでは気づけないような点、たくさんの課題を見つけることができました。4日目の授業が終わった後はアートビジットでサンタクロチェ周辺を回り、建造物の歴史などについて教えてもらいました。普通なら素通りしてしまうような場所が、ミケランジェロが住んでいた建物だったり、映画で使われた場所だったり、本当に魅力的な場所だなと思いました。
