My roommate and I went to the supermarket and found some delicious looking octopus, so she suggested we buy some and have it for dinner. I thought I would not be able to eat fish after coming to Italy, but thanks to my roommate who is kind and a good cook, I was able to eat delicious seafood.

ルームメイトと一緒にスーパーマーケットに行ったら美味しそうなタコがあったので、すぐに買って夜ご飯にしようと言ってくれました。イタリアに来てから魚は食べられないだろうと思っていたけど、優しくて料理が得意なルームメートのおかげで美味しい海鮮を食べることが出来ました。

Tiramisu
I knew I couldn’t leave Italy without trying tiramisu, so I asked my interpreter for a recommendation and he told me that the main store is in Milan, but there is a delicious place in Florence where the store was established, so I went there. The size was just right and it was perfect with a latte.

イタリアに来てティラミスを食べずには帰れないと思い、通訳さんにおすすめの場所を聞くと本店はミラノにあるがそのお店がフィレンツェにできた美味しい場所があると教えてもらい、そこに行きました。サイズもちょうど良くてラテと一緒に飲むとちょうど良かったです。

bibimbap
I went to eat Bibimbap for lunch. It was a strange feeling to have Korean food in Florence, but as I walked around I saw many stores that also sold Chinese food and kebabs. I also saw a sushi restaurant, but it was definitely better than the one in Japan, so I wondered if people from the real world would feel the same way when they see an authentic restaurant.

ランチにビビンバを食べに行きました。韓国料理がフィレンツェで食べられるなんて不思議な気持ちでしたが、歩いていると中国料理やケバブも売っているお店もよく見ました。お寿司屋さんも見たけど絶対日本の方が美味しいので、本場の人が本場の料理店を見ると同じような事を思うのかなと思いました。

Palazzo Pitti
I went to Pitti Palace, which I had always been curious about. It was exactly the medieval palace that I had always seen in books, and I thought it was a style that I could never see in Japan.

ピッティ宮殿
ずっと気になっていたピッティ宮殿に行きました。ずっと本で見ていた中世の宮殿そのもので絶対日本では見ることが出来ない様式だなと思いました。

Fruit
I was impressed that Italian supermarkets have a lot of fruits and they are not too expensive, so I ended up buying a lot of them.

フルーツ
イタリアのスーパーはフルーツが多くてしかもあんまり高くない印象なのでつい多めに買ってしまいます。

Cappelle Medicee
I was determined to visit this place, but due to holidays and other plans, it somehow ended up being the last week, but it was really worth the trip. I could feel from the tombs, the plaster, and the atmosphere how big the Medici family used to be and how great they were for this area. I am really glad we visited.

メディチ家礼拝堂
ここへは必ず行くと決めていましたが、定休日や他の予定と重なりなんだかんだ最終週になってしまいましたが、本当に行く価値ありでした。かつてのメディチ家の大きさやこの地にとっての偉大さがお墓や石膏、雰囲気から伝わってきました。本当に足を運んで良かったです。

Risotto
I have been to several restaurants since I came to Florence, but the pizzas are always too big and I end up getting takeout, but I really like the risotto because the portions are just right and the taste is very good.

リゾット
フィレンツェに来てから何回かレストランに行きましたが、ピザはいつも大きくてテイクアウトになってしまいますが、リゾットは量もちょうど良く味もすごく美味しいのですごく大好きです。

I really wanted to see the sunset at Piazzale Michelangelo again, so this time I went earlier than last time, on a weekday, but it was still crowded with many people.

どうしてもまたミケランジェロ広場の夕陽が見たくて今回は前回より早めの平日に行きましたがやっぱりたくさんの人で賑わっていました。

Dogs everywhere
I see many people with dogs every day. I was surprised at first to see people taking their dogs inside even in small supermarkets and buses.

基本どこでも犬
犬を飼っている人を毎日たくさん目にします。そしてびっくりしたのが小さなスーパーやバスの中でも犬を連れて中に入るので最初は驚きを隠せませんでした。

Sugar
This is the sugar section of a supermarket, but the bag was torn and the contents were on the outside. The employees also seemed to be a little messy in their work of taking out the goods. But it was a large supermarket, so I thought there must be a lot of work to do.

砂糖
スーパーの砂糖売り場なんですけど、袋が破れて中身が外に出てしまっていました。従業員も品出し作業が少し雑な感じがしました。でも大きいスーパーだったのでたくさん仕事があるのかなと思いました。
