That is not a door
This week we started a new painting as we wanted, it could be a landscape or an image, so I chose this image of a door. This was a very interesting and fun activity and I realized a very good job.

Eso no es una puerta
Esta semana en clase comenzamos una pintura nueva referente a algo que vemos como un paisaje o retrato. Yo escogí la imagen de una puerta pues la composición de los colores me llamaba mucho la atención. Fue una actividad muy divertida y en lo personal creo que logre un buen trabajo.

Example
The photo shows an example of the painting I am doing. The example was made by my teacher who showed me how I started the painting and how I did the brush struck so that I could put myself on the painting.

Ejemplo
La foto de abajo muestra el ejemplo de la pintura que comencé a realizar pero hecha por el profesor. Fue una técnica de cómo podría empezar la pintura, considerando que fue una pintura que se comenzó directamente sin ningún boceto anterior.

Begin again
The last painting of the door, I did it in 20 minutes, and I started a new one with the same object but this time bigger. I learned that I can paint something very fast but more specific and with more details; I have to be a little bit calmer.

Comencemos de nuevo
La pintura que se comenzó, como fue realizada muy rápidamente, volví a rehacerla esta ocasión más grande y con las medidas más exactas que la primera vez. Pude darme cuenta que puedo realizar una pintura veloz mente aun que para lograr un acabado más detallado se requiere de más tiempo.

Three paintings
The photo shows the different painting that we were doing in the class. You can see how each painting has something of its owner and the way each of us do the painting. This is how a painting is recognized without needing a sign. Everything is from the way the artist does the jobs.

Tres pinturas
La foto de abajo muestra las diferentes pinturas que hemos estado realizando, aquí se puede apreciar como cada una de nosotras hemos puesto y adquirido nuestra propia técnica que es lo que va distinguiendo poco a poco al artista, es la manera en la que se reconoce que trabajo pertenece a quien.

Trompe l’oeil
This week we start a new course and we have a new teacher. We are learning the technique Trompe l’oeil that is a way to cheat the eye. This technique is from the renascences and you can find now a days it’s used on the frescos and the people who do restoration.

Trompe l’oeil
Esta semana tuvimos una nueva clase y una nueva maestra con la cual estaremos aprendiendo la técnica de Trompe l’oiel, que significa engañar al ojo. Esta es una técnica que existe desde el tiempo del renacimiento, y en la actualidad puede ser encontrada en alguno de los frescos, es una técnica muy importante y de igual manera útil para lo que es la restauración.

A window
For the new painting with the Trompe l’oeil technique, it is necessary to have an object above another objet. I chose to paint my window which is a typical Italian window and it’s too big for the canvas. The trick on this technique is always in the perspective, because it is everything that makes the composition works.

Una ventana
Para la técnica de Trompe l’oeil, se necesita de dos objetos para hacer que función, además de que desde de que requiere de un punto exacto para que se pueda engañar al ojo. Lo más importante es la perspectiva ya que ésta es la que realiza todo el trabajo de ilusión óptica. Yo decidí pintar la ventana de cuarto para crear esa ilusión.

Modern art
This week for the art visit we went to the museum of modern art, so we could have an idea how the art has been developed. We had an activity; we had to choose one of the paintings that make us feel something.

Museo de arte moderna
Esta semana en la visita de arte fuimos al museo de arte moderno, esto para ver el trascurrir del arte no solo renacentista. Una delas actividades que realizamos dentro, fue la de ver cuál de las obras despertaba algo en nosotros, ya fuera negativo o positivo. La imagen de abajo en lo personal es una obra que despertó algo negativo ya que no fue de mi total agrado, pues la obra procura dar el aspecto de algo orgánico provocando en mí una reacción ante lo orgánico. Por lo tanto la obra logro su objetivo.

Another reaction
The photo shows another painting that made me feel something but in a different way I felt something peaceful, and it was fun because it was exactly what the artist wanted to make us see with this painting.

Otra reacción
Esta obra es una de las muchas otras que me provocaron alguna reacción sin embargo en esta ocasión fue una reacción agradable ya que me trasmitieron alguien que la otra imagen lo que el artista quiso lograr.

Un modelo para reflexionar
La foto de abajo muestra un modelo que se encuentra en el museo. Esta obra parece ser algo simple, algo que incluso uno mismo podría crear, sin embargo esta imagen lo que muestra realmente es lo que hay detrás, que es como el desarrollo y la evolución del arte de han ido dando después de que se inventó la cama fotográfica.

A model to think about it
The photo shows a model; this model looks very simple and it could be something so easy to make at home, however the meaning is what is important due to the fact that after the camera was invented, people still need to represent something from inside and to build beauty, and that’s why the art is still alive trying to get the way so that it can continue to represent something beauty.

Spring
On the way to my home, I found this tree with some bottoms on it. It seems like there is something blooming. It reminds me some trees from my home city, those trees always bloom on this season and it means how far the summer is and how hot it can be.

Primavera
De camino a casa me encontré con un árbol que comenzó a florecer, se pueden observar los pequeños retoños que empiezan a abrirse. Este árbol me recordó un árbol muy típico de la ciudad de la que yo soy, que siempre florean por estas fechas lo que significa que tan próximo está el verano.
