Painting and Drawing One-Year Course (n.4)
Week 4
Monday
Today I had drawing first thing I decided to focus on drawing in new techniques to measure the perspectives of the face, I struggled with this as I’m used to just going straight into a drawing and working around and adjusting as I go along. (1)
After this, I went for tea with my classmate. We went to Old prison square café for a buffet and an Aperol spritz (2).
Tuesday
I decided to study the Italian Language, practice my drawing and write up my notes from last week’s basic lesson from home as I have been ill for the last few weeks. (3)
I decided to go for a drink with a friend to the student Hotel. I enjoyed it here; the view was amazing at night could see the city all lit up (4).
Wednesday
I was drawing practice again followed up by basic lesson where we had an exam which I enjoyed and was good to test my knowledge on what we have learnt so far. Afterwards, my lovely Japanese housemates made tea for us all, it was nice to all sit together and have a meal. (5)
Then I made a card for one of my classmates for his birthday tomorrow (6)
Thursday
I gave my classmate the card I made for him (7) then headed to painting lesson.
I found today’s experience more productive and enjoyable as I got to get stuck in with the painting(8) and managed to nearly complete the piece. I’m happy so far with the results and finding a painting style following from today’s lesson. I went out for my friends birthday for a few drinks. (9)
Friday 20th
I went to the church of San Salvatore which dates as far back as 1251, the architecture and preservation of the masterpieces are amazing from ceiling to the floor. I really enjoyed this art visit and will go back in my spare time and do some drawings. (10,11)
