I am a Fine Arts graduate from the University of the Philippines Diliman, I majored in Visual Communication from the College of Fine Arts. I previously worked as an artist for a Publishing House in the Philippines. In my free time I draw and practice digital illustrations or digital paintings. I’m here in Firenze to learn and explore the similarities and differences in illustration and design between the Philippines and Italy. I am fortunate enough to have won a place in the International Art and Design Competition of Accademia Riaci in 2023 and the prize is to study here for 4 weeks. I am grateful for the academy and for an opportunity to be in Florence, Italy for the first time. I am also enjoying the city’s many museums and galleries, the food, people and the new things I’m encountering during my stay.

I am studying architecture in Japan. In my university assignments, I am limited to designing only basic floor plans and rarely think about furniture and materials. However, it is necessary to design a concrete living space, and I have always wanted to learn how to do so. Architecture and furniture are inseparable when it comes to space creation. I chose the interior design course because I wanted to learn as much as I could about this.

ルネサンス文化が色濃く残る街フィレンツェでは、美術館をはじめ伝統彫金も有名です。
以前から興味のあった、ここフィレンツェでしか習う事のできない技法を学ぶジュエリー制作コースで2ヶ月間お世話になります。

漠然ではありますが、近い未来に、自分なりの方法で、自分で作る手作りの発酵調味料（味噌、塩麹、甘酒、醤油麹他）や、生米成形パン，好きな料理を組み合わせ、美味しく健康的な食の提供、発信ができたらいいなと考えるようになりました。今回のイタリアへの料理留学を機に、そこから新しい世界が見えてくると思い参加を決意しました。

I have been taking the Gelato course for 3 weeks. I majored in Italian at university.
An interpreter will be present during the first week of lessons, but will not be present during the remaining weeks or when interacting with the teacher after the lesson. Not only was I able to learn new things about Gelato, but I also felt that what I had learned at university so far was put to good use, and these days I am living a very fulfilling Firenze life.

Hello, this is Makoto. I came to Florence to learn about gelato. Until recently, I was undergoing anticancer drug treatment for cancer. Gelato supported me during that treatment. I wanted to learn how to make gelato in the real world, so I convinced my doctor to come to Italy three months after I was discharged from the hospital. Like I did, I would like to someday make gelato that can be part of someone's daily life, or can be eaten by people who are sick and have difficulty eating, or who are terminally ill and cannot eat solid food.

In Japan, there are more negative opinions about tattoos than in other countries, and there are not many people who get tattoos due to the strict restrictions on tattooing and the price.
However, when I visited Italy this summer and saw many people, including tourists, with tattoos on their skin, I was very excited and at the same time felt that people were as fascinated by tattoos as much as I was. I was happy to know that

Originally, when I was 18, I went to an interior design vocational school for three years. I got a job at a jewelry company and had a gap of 2-3 years at my previous job. I was looking for a school where I could study abroad because I wanted to learn how to use colors and how to use interiors in a culture that is completely different from Japan. My name is Daniel Trembovelski, I am a 23-year-old French and Russian student in jewellery. I am currently following the 1-year Master course in jewellery making at the Accademia Riaci after graduating from a bachelor in Jewellery and Silversmithing at the Birmingham School of Jewellery in the UK.
I decided to follow this course with the aim to gain more practice and confidence in my work before getting to work in the industry. I was also motivated to learn the “Incisione” techniques in addition to the different possible stone settings and therefore reach a new level in my jewellery creations. My long-term ambition is to gain enough various experience in jewellery all around the world and open my own brand and create my collections once ready!
Outside of school, I like to read, visit exhibitions, work out and go out for walks and hikes in the countryside of Italy, Florence being the perfect place for that kind of extracurricular activities!

I am studying Fashion Design (bachelor course) at the "Russian State University" named by Aleksey Kosygin. I believe I have a lot of skills and knowledge not only in the sphere of drawing and painting but also in building a good technological process, sew and decorate it by myself. This year I attended several shoemaking courses in my country and also Master Classes ("Giovanny Ottonello", "Iilko Murero", and "Kobi Levi").
In my opinion, a good fashion designer should do accessories for his garments that’s why I am studying doing bags, hats, jewelry and other important goods for overalls. I practice a lot of different fashion weeks and shows like a model, volunteer or organizer. I can communicate easily with different people and this work is appropriate and exciting to me.

My name is Pamela Bähre-Ebensperger, I’m the offspring of German/Austrian immigrants to Chile, South America.
I first started learning silversmith and goldsmith back in 2008, and since then, I haven’t stopped!!
I was a model since I was 14 (back in 1996) and then my career took an international path in 2001. Because of that, I was fortunate enough to live in many countries across the planet, impregnating my soul not only with original beauty but also with unique beliefs, habits, way of living, and all that could come in between….
I quit modeling when I was 30 years old (7 years ago) and it took me some time to let go of my “attachment” to my “babies” (a.k.a my jewelry), once I did (Thank Heaven!!!) I decided my contribution to this world will be one of beauty, power, and inspiration. Gemstones and metals not only tore energy, they transmit, transmute, enhance and even nullify it, therefore, but every piece of jewelry is also unique. It represents a state of Consciousness/ Being of the bearer, and as such, they serve either as Amulets or Talismans.
This is the intention behind/ beside/ above and below my creations.
In the Spirit of humility I can’t really say much about myself, if there’s an opinion or judgment to be formed about me, it is my preference you do it yourself. The one thing I can say though, I that nothing makes me happier than life itself and that to be of service to all Beings and, especially, to the Greater Good, beats anything!!!!!!

イタリアの祭壇画で使用されている黄金背景テンペラを学ぶためにフィレンツェに来ました。フィレンツェは街自体が美術館で、またルネッサンス発祥の地でもあるため、学ぶべき、見るべきオリジナルの作品がすぐ近くにあるので本当に素晴らしいです。こちらに来て4ヶ月目になりますが、たくさんの美術館や教会に行きました。またフィレンツェはイタリアの中央に位置しているため、違う都市へのアクセスもよく、すでにヴェネチア、シエナ、ルッカなど様々な都市に美術品を見に行きました。フェレンツェは職人の街で、古くからの手仕事を大切にしている所が大好きです。
日本ではアニミズムをテーマに作品を描いており、今回学ぶ技法を自分の作品に生かしたいと思っています。

I would like to briefly introduce myself first – my name is Fan Lip Hoong, I am 21 years old and I live in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. I recently graduated my diploma at Bandar Sunway, Malaysia. and I always had a dream that went to further studies in oversea. I have always had a great passion for interior designing which developed form a love of designing catalogues. I am Chong Wei Chen and nickname is Kenny, from Malaysian. Currently, I am in my 3rd year studying Diploma of Interior Design at The One Academy. The One Academy of Communication Design was established as a private art college and The One Academy of Communication Design was location at Bandar Sunway city, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. I am enjoy studying things that were related to interior construction and also interested in creative design.
I had two years of teaching experience in arts and have performed in a range of freelance design project such as 3D rando and cafes. Besides, I have been taking part in several arts competitions that were held in Malaysia. The most impressive outcome was I have placed in the 2nd in the International Art & Design Competition 2017 and so why I am here to study.

Accepting the first prize from Accademia Riaci began one of my excited journal in my life. Grewing up as a child I was so passionate with design and I decided to study Interior Design in The One Academy, Malaysia. After all, I found myself have another passionate into Fashion Design. I love to read the strory and concept behind of each single collection from my favorite fashion designer such as Irsis Van Herpen & Emilio Pucci. Fashion design is influenced by cultural and social attitudes, and has varied over time and place. Fashion design is the art of application of design and aesthetics or natural beauty to clothing and accessories. I came to Italy right after I graduated from high school to study Italian language and art. I spent my first 6 months in Siena to study at an Italian language school. While I was there, I looked for a good school for graphic design. I went back to Japan once and decided to enroll Accademia Riaci. Because my main art field had always been painting & drawing, I have been learning a lot from the life in Florence surrounded by full of artworks from the Renaissance era. I look forward to learn further more about graphic design based on my past experience.

They have shown to me a great passion for the art of the goldsmith. The experience I am living will help me improve techniques and apply them in my own workshop.

After working in Taiwanese footwear industry for three and a half years, she came to Firenze to study shoes making course, the city which is famous for leather art and shoes.
Although she already has basic aesthetics and sketching technique background from university (B.A.), yet she hopes to extend her shoe-making skills here in Riaci. She believes designer can deliver their thoughts through their works, hoping to keep motivate people with her designs.

日本では１０年間ほど靴づくりとは関係のないお仕事をしていましたが、趣味としてずっと好きで続けていたのが革細工でした。休日には財布など小物をコツコツ作る毎日でした。そしてそこから派生して、この２年間は神戸にある靴学校に毎週通いました。自分が考えたものが形になっていくことが面白くて、休日は疲れていても靴作りが楽しくて仕方がありませんでした。とても時間がかかる作業ですが、出来上がりだけでなく、出来上がっていく様子がなんとも言えません。
一年ほど前から、思い切ってお仕事を辞め、本場イタリア・フィレンツェに革靴づくりを学びに行くことを決めました。今年の５月より４ヶ月間、語学学校でお世話になりイタリア語で何とか授業を受け始めました。まだまだ分からない事だらけですが、楽しみながら頑張りたいと思っています。
I worked in Japan for about 10 years but my former job had nothing to do with shoe making. I simply liked leather working as a hobby. I used to make small items such as leather wallets on my days off. For this past 2 years, I studied every week at a shoe making school in Kobe, Japan. I totally enjoyed the process of how my idea became actual shoes, so I kept making shoes on weekends even though I was tired from my weekday’s work. It takes a long time to make 1 pair of shoes, but I just love the shoe making process itself.
I quit my job 1 year ago and decided to come to Florence to study shoe making. I took Italian lessons for 4 months from this May, and I am now taking shoe making lessons in Italian. There is so much I need to learn now, but I hope to enjoy this learning experience.

Descubrí el mundo de la joyería a través de una búsqueda personal, la cual me llenó de satisfacciones al poder expresarme a través del metal.
Participé en el Concurso Internacional de Arte y Diseño de la Accademia Riaci, al cual postulé con un collar de cobre obteniendo el segundo lugar, motivo por el cual decidí seguir mi pasión en Italia.
After receiving my degree in Spaces and Objects Design and a post-diploma in Lighting Design, I worked as for 4 years as International fairs designer for the Chilean Goverment and as Project Manager for the Chilean- German chamber of commerce and Industry. I arrived into the jewelry field for personal research , which brought me complete satisfaction expressing myself through the metal.
I applied into the Accademia Riaci International Art & Design competition with a copper necklace to represent my country, obtaining a second place. That was the principal reason that helped me follow my true passion.

I arrived into the jewelry field for personal research , which brought me complete satisfaction expressing myself through the metal.
I applied into the Accademia Riaci International Art & Design competition with a copper necklace to represent my country, obtaining a second place. That was the principal reason that helped me follow my true passion.
空間物体デザインの学位と照明デザインのポストグラデュエート・ディプロマを取得した後、4年間に渡ってチリ政府で国際博覧会のデザイナーと商工会議所のプロジェクトマネジャーを担当。個人的なリサーチをきっかけに興味を持ったジュエリー分野では、特に金属で作品表現することに満足感を覚えます。
アカデミアリアチ主催の国際アート＆デザインコンペティションで銅を用いて作ったネックレスが２位に入賞したことで、自身の情熱が赴く道を進んでいます。

I am an intern photographer and assistant at Accademia Riaci.
I quit my job as a photographer in Japan and came here with my husband who wanted to work at a restaurant in Italy. I took a Gelato Internship Course at Accademia Riaci meanwhile.
After my new challenge, however, I began to think that there was more possibility in the photography field in Italy so I decided to go back to my area of expertise and restart.
I love coffee, so I enjoy visiting coffee bars in and around town.
I hope I can let you know useful and helpful Italian daily-life and school information in my reports.
